Welcome to the Chivalric Fighting Arts Association! Founded in 2011, the Chivalric Fighting Arts Association (CFAA) is an international organization of schools and clubs devoted to the study of historical European martial arts, particularly those practiced in a chivalric context, used in war, the tournament, and the duel. CFAA members study diverse martial arts – from lands ranging from Iberia to Britain, from the late Middle Ages to the early modern era, and including weapons ranging from the sword and buckler to the rapier. Ours is a fraternal organization, without a governing body, bound together only by our shared values, mutual support of our endeavors, and passion for ancient martial arts and their cultural milieu.

The front page of this site is our blog, where noted HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) practitioners will post informative articles, videos, and other material for the benefit of the community. CFAA is a group of like-minded organizations, but even within the organization we have diverse approaches. The articles presented in this blog will reflect both our common and our diverse opinions from author to author.

You are invited to browse the articles and leave a comment for the author and/or membership of the CFAA. We also invite you to email us directly should you wish to ask a question of one of our member schools or instructors or to suggest an article. The address is: secretary@chivalricfighting.org. Finally, if you seek more information about the CFAA, visit the main CFAA website. You can also follow us on FaceBook at https://www.facebook.com/ChivalricFighting.

Articles will continue to be posted in the weeks to come, so please bookmark this site, share this on Facebook and help spread the word!
